Your entry into the cloud
Our STACKIT Cloud Accelerator Program is more than just a trainee program. With assignments in various STACKIT departments, we will turn you from a beginner into a real cloud professional in just 8 months – all while you are a permanent employee.
All participants in the program work closely with experienced cloud experts and get to know the latest developments and methods first-hand. During this time, participants complete exciting challenges that help to showcase the skills and expertise they have acquired. Our cloud experts also provide you with a network that can provide guidance and support for your personal and professional development. This is how we ensure that you are ready for a cloud career after completing the program.
The next starting date for the Cloud Accelerator Program is April 01, 2025. The program is designed as a hybrid model. In this way, we offer the perfect mix of mobile work and in-person work with colleagues at our office location in Heilbronn.

Here is how YOU can get started
Our three-stage application process starts with an online assessment that gives us an initial professional picture of you.
In the second step, we want to get to know you as a person and check your professional and personal skills in an interview. This selection step takes place remotely.
And last but not least: During the third step, we finally have the chance to get to know one another in person. Make sure you take advantage of this opportunity and ask all of the questions you have!
Here is what YOU should bring to the program
- You are looking for an entry-level role in the future-oriented field of cloud computing
- Ideally, you will already have some practical experience in the cloud environment
- You are interested in topics ranging from operating systems to web applications and already have some experience in development, preferably in Java, Go, TypeScript and Python
- You have basic knowledge in Git, web development and databases
What the program has in store for you
The STACKIT Cloud Accelerator Program consists of two phases with various modules. We start with the Onboarding phase and then move into the “Develop & Grow” phase.
Onboarding
Getting started with the STACKIT Cloud Accelerator Program is quick and easy. After your place on the program has been confirmed, you will complete an intensive and exciting onboarding process containing three modules:
1 week
Arriving
We are happy to have you on board and it’s time to get started right away. After the first introductory events, we’ll provide you with the necessary technology and equipment and introduce you to the teams and your colleagues.
6 weeks
Getting Ready
Now that you are part of the team, we can start with deep dives on products, processes, solutions and general concepts for cloud computing. In addition, we will make you fit in Go programming, Kubernetes and our agile working methods.
1 week
Check Up Week
Now it is time to test what you’ve learned. during the first team challenge. Guided by our cloud lead engineers, you will work together with the other program participants and put your abilities and the skills you’ve learned to the test while utilizing agile methods.
Develop & Grow
After the onboarding phase, it’s time to hit the ground running. Because we are all about growth – both professional and personal. From project management skills to communication training – our program will make you fit for the modern world of work. In order to ensure this is the case, we plan time for further education and training to help you gather experience.
The theory-based work provides the foundation – but what really allows you to develop and grow is working with our product teams and supporting the cloud engineers as you work together to develop our services.
Three-day workshop
Growing Together
We kick things off with an off-site event with the lead engineers and all program participants. During this event, the lead engineers will introduce the cloud projects that you will be working on together for the next 6 months. The main focus here is on getting to know each other and team building.
6 MONTHS – FOCUS PROJECT
Future Innovations
Now it’s time to really get started. You will become integrated into the day-to-day operations of the product teams while using agile development methods. One of our lead engineers will guide you through this process. We will only say this much: This stage, during which you will work on the development of our services, is sure to delight all cloud enthusiasts.
BI-WEEKLY OVER THE COURSE OF THE 6-MONTH PROJECT
Training Days
You really have come so far! While you are working full-time on the project, we offer you bi-weekly training days, which include workshops and self-learning formats that go into more detail about relevant topics and content.
WHAT YOU GET FROM THE PROGRAM
Certificate documenting your further cloud experience
Congratulations! You did it! You have proven yourself during the STACKIT Cloud Accelerator Program. You will now start as a Junior Cloud Engineer at STACKIT. You will also receive a certificate documenting the various stations and challenges you completed during the program.
