Cloud Developer for Storage Backend – STACKIT (m/w/d)

What You’ll Do
- You take care of the various storage systems in the areas of block-, object-, backup- and cold-storage in highly available environments (e.g. NetApp, Cohesity, Pure, Quantum)
- You continue to develop the infrastructure API (e.g. provision of additional storage functionalities as self-service via REST API)
- You extend and improve the current storage environment with further solution scenarios (e.g. introduction of new storage systems, development of new regions)
- You are responsible for the surrounding system landscape of the storage environment (e.g. self-service API, virtualization, Kubernetes, monitoring and logging)
- You create and maintain the professional documentation for efficient use and stable operation of the platform (e.g. for customers and internal teams)
- You are part of the development of a high-performance cloud platform based on Linux and OpenStack with a focus on storage (in particular OpenStack cinder, KVM, etc…)
- You are part of a motivated team that likes to strive for improvement and continuously develops itself (and the products)
What You’ll Need
- You have experience and know the market in one or more of the areas of block-, object-, backup- and cold-storage (e.g. solution scenarios, deployment, operation, scaling options, migration)
- You have already worked with APIs and developed them (e.g. REST API with Python, Go, Rust)
- You have experience with infrastructure as code in automated environments (e.g. CI/CD, pipelines, Kubernetes)
- You know the challenges of (self-)operation of storage systems (e.g. protocols, troubleshooting, performance analysis, high availability, lifecycle)
- You have good knowledge of automation (e.g. using Python, Bash, Ansible)
- You feel comfortable in open source-based virtualization and container environments
- You bring passion and enthusiasm for new technologies and topics related to various storage systems
