STACKIT Archiving Service provides secure and audit-proof archiving for SAP and Non-SAP systems for a pre-defined long-term retention period. During the retention period the archived data is stored in a format conforming to customer specifications and cannot be modified or deleted. STACKIT Archiving Service is not doing any post processing of the data archived, there is no indexing or listing available, there must always be a leading system, which sends the files to the STACKIT Archiving Service.

With the STACKIT Archiving Service, data can be stored not only in the long term, but also immutably and non-deletable via WORM(Write Once Read Many) Object Storage. This makes it easy to comply with EU retention periods for financial data and meet compliance and audit requirements.

- Archiving is realized via URI with 3 possible interfaces: SAP-Archive Link, SAP-ILM-Standard or REST API.
- Costs are flexible and based on Object storage used (pay-per-use).
- Archived data may instantly be retrieved.
- Optional: Automatic deletion of the archived data after expiration of the retention period.
